First Mission Christ Temple (FMCT) Church of God in Christ, Inc. is a ministry currently located at 419 West Carolina Street, in Tallahassee, Florida. Our church was born out of a vision of our former pastor Elder Leroy Arnold, Sr. This was fulfilled because of his love for God, and his desire to bring great changes in our society and in people’s lives. Elder Arnold served as pastor from its inception April 6, 1990 to 2004. After Elder Arnold’s health began to fail him, he looked out among the brethren and found a man of valor, love for the people, the church and Elder Arnold himself and chose to consider Superintendent Richard Ash as his successor. Pastor Ash became the pastor of First Mission on March 16, 2004. He has a desire and focuses on soul wining and kingdom building for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is seeking to fill our community with love and the knowledge of the word of the Lord.
His wife Missionary Veronica S. Ash serves faithfully by his side and endeavors to promote and support him, the Lord and the vision given to Pastor Ash by God as well as this ministry. She also serves as the District Missionary for the Tallahassee District Churches of God in Christ and was installed March 9, 2002 by our Jurisdictional Supervisor Mother Elizabeth G. Crooms.
Prior to them becoming pastor and wife of First Mission Christ Temple Church of God in Christ, Richard and Veronica Ash served as founders of The Living Word, Church of God in Christ, Havana, Florida, and as servants of the Lord at Evangel Temple, Church of God in Christ, Quincy, Florida. Pastor Ash has also served as Pastor of Zion Temple, Church of God in Christ, Graceville, Florida and Bibleway Church of God in Christ, Blountstown, Florida.
